Understairs Storage

The client dreamt of an open planned family living area. The concept was to utilise all areas for maximum storage whilst creating light and space. The original spindle staircase caused a loss of heat and sound to travel. The spindles were replaced with toughened fireproof safety glass, preventing both heat and sound from escaping. Under the stairs then became a 'What to do with it space' working in partnership with Compass Kitchens, we were able to adopt the same design as the doors they handcrafted in the clients bespoke kitchen and were able to create a unique design to fit in with the client needs. To maintain control of the underfloor heating, the tallest unit slides out with ease, allowing full access as required.

Overgrown garden

The client having just moved in wanted a space that was child friendly, relaxing, and somewhere they could unwind as a family, but it needed to be easily maintained.

We took out all the overgrown bushes, removed the wall and replaced the crazy paving with grey sandstone slabs. The walls and fence were painted in neutral colours allowing light to reflect creating both a relaxing and spacious environment. Using artificial grass, we have met the needs of the client’s request of low maintenance and no muddy footprints. Innkeeping with child friendly, we designed and made a large chalk board on one wall for the kids.

Decking

The client wanted a decking that was stylish, unique, and easily maintained.

We choose an environmentally friendly plastic decking, made of recycled material, that is both non-slip and finished to a high standard. This durable weather resistant and maintenance free decking does not need to be treated every year unlike the older decking the client had. This versatile material allowed us to create a seating area with an inserted feature of a fishpond, allowing a more usable and peaceful space.
